It's okay to brag a little, right?
Lately there are more and more books and movies are coming out that feature brutality, savage killing and bloody-gory scenes. It seems as if our senses are burned out and the only way to keep our interest is with escalating brutality.
I'm really getting overloaded and disgusted by brutality and I rather watch documentaries, nature films or even Disney movies than another glorified serial killer, sadist or zombie. I'm craving for gentler stories, beautiful music and art that restores my faith in humanity.
It made me happy when I found this review a reader wrote after listening to the audio-book of
The Ancestors' Secrets series:
"I really enjoyed this book"
Would you listen to Protected by the Falcon again? Why?
I loved the innocence of the story line.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Protected by the Falcon?
The history and heritage
Yes, we need innocence. Although love, ancient tribal legends, secrets, time travel and magical powers collide in this compelling fantasy series, the main message of the story is that when the Sacred Female and Male work in harmony, together they can heal and create instead of destroy and create chaos. By balancing, healing, honoring and integrating their energies, they can write a new future for humanity.
The Feminine represents tenderness, wisdom, patience, nurturing and flexibility. The Masculine is fearless, courageous and loyal. When they unite in harmony, nothing is impossible.
About the story:
Ilona is longing for love and a simple, satisfying life as a doctor. What she doesn’t expect is to get caught up in the world ruled by dark clan members, the customs of ancient tribes and love interests that are far less innocent than they first appear.
The discovery of Ilona's healing power and ability to freeze time is exciting and frightening. A sinister man appears, and Ilona connects his presence with the series of mysterious deaths around her. She has been in love with her unsuspecting best friend when she meets a stranger. She is drawn to him and confused by the sudden magnetic feeling.
Ilona’s birthright as a Healer runs alongside her desires as a woman. She must sort through her feelings about the men in her life. Travel with Ilona from the time her people were nomads, to the castles of the 14th century, to present day, as she struggles to overcome the obstacles placed in her path.
Ilona is thrust from her easy and steady life and forced to face the unknown, which prompts her to discover ancient tribal secrets. She obtains unimaginable abilities to protect her family. She can use her powers for absolute good or absolute evil; the choice is up to her.
